Paul Berthelot a Dizy Brut Reserve, Premier Cru. Pale gold champagne with fine beads. The nose is very floral and leafy, it calls to mind a woodland in spring. On the palate, the bubbly is rich and firm with nice minerality supporting the fruit, going to a toasty finish. D&M Tasting Notes. History The Berthelots have been vignerons since the end of the 19th century. Over the years they have increased their holdings and today their property comprises 16 hectares. Their vineyards are principally located in Dizy, A˙, surrounding Reims and Dormans. Paul Berthelot launched his own brand in 1977. In time, his two sons Jacques and Michel took over the running of the company, sharing the responsibilities of vineyard management and vinification. In 2007 Jacques’ son Arnaud, and his wife Valerie, began running the Domaine on their own. |
