Michel Loriot Blanc De Noirs Reserve Brut Champagne
[820076]
List Price:
$55.00
D&M Price:
$33.99

Michel Loriot Blanc De Noirs Reserve Brut Champagne. Pale gold colored wine with lazy, winding beads. The nose offers a nice, pretty light herb note. Steely and sleek on the palate, the Champagne shows off spicy fruit dusted with black pepper. All in all, it shows off a lot of power. D&M Tasting Notes.

Produced from Pinot Meunier grapes, the Réserve Brut is the fruit of a subtle blend of reserve wines from several harvests. It is the true emblem of Loriot Champagnes, and offers the palate a supple, round and fruity taste.

Léopold Loriot (1867-1939), a meticulous and avant-garde wine grower as well as founder of Loriot de Festigny Champagnes, was a pioneer in different fields. He very early grafted vines in order to fight against the phylloxera, and then, reasoning as a perfect economist, he decided not to deliver his grapes to a wine merchant any longer, but only the grape must (juice of the grapes). In 1903 he installed his own press (still on exhibit in our cellars). The purpose was to avoid transportation that was not only long and unprofitable but also harmful to quality.

From then on he savored the pleasure of independence. This spirit of the initiative was perpetuated by Germain Loriot who, as of 1931, designed these first 300 bottles of Loriot Champagne.

Then it was the turn of Henri Loriot, Michel's father, to carry on the tradition in 1952. He devoted the entire harvest of four hectares to the production of his Champagne.

It is the ideal Champagne for an aperitif and for all your parties, with relatives or friends.
