Jean Laurent Brut Rose Champagne. An almost grenadine pink colored champagne with very fine beads. While there's not a lot to the nose, the palate offers big flavors of cranberry and strawberry fruit with a fistful of spices. Located in the Aube, an outlying District of Champagne in the village of Celles- sur- Ource. The Jean Laurent family has been tending the vines of Champagne since Champagne vineyards came into existence over 1,000 years ago. So as you can guess winemaking here is deeply traditional. Fifty years ago they installed a new vertical press to improve finesse that has worked wonders for their wine. The wines are made in small lots to allow for precise blends. Blanc de Noirs is what they do best: this is Pinot Noir country after all. The Jean Laurent Brut Rosé is 100 % Pinot Noir, all from the family’s vineyard.
